Welcome to the “Chota char dham — छोटा चार धाम virtual experience” which aims to let you accomplish a pilgrimage to the small four abodes in the physical world mapped metaverse OVR.

Introduction

Accomplishing a pilgrimage in a metaverse is not the same as performing it in its physical world counterpart, but things have evolved through the last centuries. Originally pilgrimages were mostly done on foot. This is often still the case today for many pilgrimages, with some pilgrims even bending down, kneeling, prostrating full-length, making a mark with their fingers, rising to their knees, praying, and then crawling forward on hands and knees to the mark they made with their fingers. Then, the act is repeated.

But in today’s modern times, some participants have been using some other mode of transportation such as train, bus, plane or even helicopter. What is proposed today is another transportation method coupled with the fact that the shrine metaverse location can be symbolically linked with the physical world location. This emblematic pilgrimage to the “Chota char dham — छोटा चार धाम” might be part of the solution, when accomplishing the physical world journey is impossible.

Specifically, how does it work?

To help fulfill the goals of accomplishing a pilgrimage, at each metaverse shrine location, some context presentation, prayer and religious donation link are proposed.
